Surely you have always been told that: “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” and are not mother’s things, it’s really truth. Between classes, work, gym, shopping … we do not stop all day long and to get energy we need to make a good breakfast. At Verdeaurora we opted for natural and fresh products and that’s why we show you five healthy breakfast ideas very much of our style, very Verdeaurora.

Toast of tomato and olive oil

It is perhaps the most typical and well-known breakfast in Spain, and there are few things better than getting up in the morning and enjoying a good toast of freshly grated tomato with a splash of organic olive oil on top. Our mouth waters just thinking about it. You can put some slices of turkey or fresh cheese on top.

Accompany the tomato toast with freshly squeezed orange juice. It provides a lot of vitamin C and with this combination you will have energy for the whole day.

Avocado toast

The avocado has many properties and is very healthy for our body. It helps increase good cholesterol, has vitamins A, B, C, D and K, is rich in potassium, in omega 3 and regulates blood sugar levels.

There are more than enough reasons to adapt the avocado in your daily diet. To make your breakfast even healthier opt for seed breads, spelled flour, wholemeal or sourdough. Toast the slices of bread and add the avocado. Finally, take a splash of organic olive oil. Ready to eat!

Toast with jam

There are days when we get up and we need a sugar chute to wake up. The sweet is not always linked with the unhealthy, and in Verdeaurora we are aware of it. For these days we offer you some toast with jam. In our shop in Fuerteventura you can find three very original, healthy and delicious jams.

Yogurt with granola and fruits

Another breakfast that we love is yogurt with granola and fruits. Take a natural yogurt or smoothie cheese and add the seasonal fruit that you like the most. In early March, strawberries are in season and if you like it is one of the best options. Play each morning with a different fruit combination and discover which one you like the most.

To combine yogurt with granola, you can buy it already made or you can make it yourself. To make the granola at home you will need oat flakes, seeds (chia, goji, sesame, pumpkin seeds) and natural nuts (almonds, pistachios, walnuts). You can also add cinnamon and rolled coconut. Mix all this with a little honey or maple syrup and your granola would be ready to enjoy it every morning.

Fruit smoothie

Now that the good weather is approaching and the fruit is sweeter in this season, it is a good time to prepare a delicious smoothie. Let your imagination fly and mix the fruits that you like the most. We recommend that you always add fruits that contain juice such as oranges, watermelon, plums … as they will bring more liquidity to the smoothie. But you can always add a little water or milk. Another option is to leave the mixture solid, like a puree and eat with the help of a spoon.
